Looking back to more than a decade ago, if someone had told me that I would open a home decor/kitchen/furniture store in downtown Truro, I would have never believed them. Fast forward to today, and Above & Beyond Home Decor is celebrating its 10th birthday. What a ride it has been!
I am filled with gratitude thinking of all of your support over the last 10 years —especially over the last couple as we navigated in-store and online shopping — and I am humbled by the generosity of your friendship. It certainly has become more than a retail store; it has become a place where friends come to visit friends, and where they shop while visiting.
Owning a small business is not a walk in the park, especially during a pandemic. Without the Above & Beyond team and their dedication, it truly would not be possible. I want to personally thank Courtney, Jayne, Doris & Tammy. They are rock stars in my world! I also want to say thank you to all the previous employees and to my sister-in-law Anne who started this journey with me, and helped shape the vision to what Above & Beyond would become. (FYI Anne will be at the store on Saturday working with us to celebrate. Come visit!)
Above & Beyond is constantly evolving to meet the needs of our customers and to stay on trend. Our inventory is always changing and over the next few weeks we will be introducing more beautiful new brands that I am so excited for you to see.
Thank you for an incredible 10 years. I appreciate you and your business more than I can express. I am excited to see what the next decade brings — I just hope it doesn’t go by as quickly.
